Pitching to Iron & Silks

Iron & Silks is not currently accepting pitches at this time.

We anticipate accepting pitches in 2027. If you are interested in pitching, please consider sending our publication fundraiser to donors and individuals who are in high-income tax brackets to support our narratives, writing, media, and publications. Just $5 goes a long way.

In 2027, we aim to prioritize narratives that have these kinds of beats:
• Sex policy
• Sexuality, Kink, BDSM, Gender-Identity
• Healthcare, Harm Reduction, Access to Gender Affirming Care
• Spirituality & Religion; specifically Hoodoo Practices, African Diasporic Traditions
• Personal Narrative on growing up in rural areas in the South
• Creativity & the arts as a spiritual practice
• Creative entrepreneurship

We are looking to accept other pitches, but since this is a one-person-run platform, we want to prioritize narratives that are the focal point of liberation, which includes taboo topics and perspectives.

Iron & Silks prioritizes Black, Indigenous, and non-white narratives and stories. If you are a white contributor, we ask that you state that in the vetting process as clearly as possible – and we recommend sending this platform to your friends, family, and colleagues who would benefit from this platform.

There will be some instances where we invite white perspectives to contribute, but that is not right now.
